The gravel crunched beneath the soles of Gareth’s feet as he steadily walked alongside the Muddy River. A sheet of tree limbs and leaf buds secluded the path from the bustling city not too far off in the distance. He meandered his way around the park in search of Ward’s Pond. There were two other ponds in Olmsted Park, but Ward’s Pond was surrounded by a dense wood that was located on a trail off of Jamaicaway. He explored it not too long after moving into his new apartment.
